We helped IKEA define their strategy to meet digital transformation among customers and meet their five-year growth targets.

SITUATION

IKEA experienced a significant digital transformation impacting all areas of living and the consumer behaviour, thus needed a strategy for how to cope and build the needed capabilities wihtin the company to achieve their five-year growth targes.

RESULTS

A roadmap with defined key deliverables that would “amplify the value of IKEA” internally and to customers developed by senior management. The roadmap was in a subsequent process taken to line managers and developed into business development projects.

DELIVERABLES

A commonly agreed declaration that defined expectations to be met in order to overcome future consumer expectations, needs and dreams. A roadmap defining priorities with regards to business development project and 5 to 10 specified capabilities need to amplify the value and achieve five-year growth targets.

OUR ROLE

Terne (as partner in This Design Tool and through SPACE10) provided support for planning, design and undertook facilitation of the senior management workshop and subsequent process.
